Girl Scouting is all about doing good. The motto for Girl Scouts of the Islamic Faith is the following Qu'ranic injunction:
"Serve Allah (Almighty God), and join not any partners with God Almighty; And do good-to parents, kinsfolk, those in need, neighbors who are near, neighbors who are strangers, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (you meet), and what your right hands possess (captives in a war): For Allah (Almighty God) loves not the arrogant, the vainglorious---." (Qu'ran 4:36)
To achieve the BISMILLAH AWARD, Daisy and Brownie Girl Scouts are expected to complete the program outlined in the booklet and to work at a social service program during the year at a primary level.
Junior, Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts are expected to complete the program outlined in their respective booklets and take part in community service projects of an advanced level for their IN THE NAME OF ALLAH AWARD (for Junior Girl Scouts), the QURAT UL A'IN AWARD. This social service program can be a troop project of water conservation, tree planting, community cleanup, and/or collecting recyclable items. DAISY AND BROWNIE Girl Scouts

The National Islamic Committee on Girl Scouting (NICGS) is registered as a non-profit organisation. Its program is approved by Girl Scouts USA (GSUSA) and the World Association of Girl Guides & Girls Scouts (WAGGGS).
